Ripple executive Marjan Delattine has confirmed that 10 financial institutions partnered with Ripple are using the XRP digital asset via Ripple’s xRapid liquidity solution for cross-border payments.
While 10 financial institutions using XRP is a far cry from the 200+ financial institutions partnered with RippleNet and using xCurrent to facilitate cross-border transactions, it’s certainly a step in the right direction. Moreover, Delattine notes that these 10 partners are actively using XRP and the volume is increasing every day.
Delattine announced this accomplishment during a panel at the Paris Blockchain week summit running from April 16–17.

Furthermore, the image below shows a comparison between the potential xRapid flow volume from December 2018 to April 2019.
As seen in the data, the xRapid volume increased substantially in December 2018, had a significant decrease in January 2019, and has shown steady growth since.
