Satoshi Nakamoto Is Alive, Has Zero influence Over Bitcoin, Says McAfee

John McAfee, the infamous tech entrepreneur behind McAfee antivirus software, is notorious in the crypto space for shilling cryptocurrencies and making bold statement. It looks like he’s at it again, claiming that the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto is alive.

As previously reported by IIB, McAfee claims to know Satoshi’s identity, and says he will narrow down who Satoshi isn’t, day by day, until they reveal themself. If Satoshi doesn’t come forward by this day, according to McAfee, he will out them.

McAfee Says Satoshi Has Zero Influence Over Bitcoin

Though McAfee seems to be very confident in his boast of knowing Satoshi’s identity, his words must be taken with a grain of salt.

The infamous tech entrepreneur is largely known for his publicity stunts in the crypto space such as his $1 million Bitcoin price prediction by 2020 or in, McAfee’s own words, he “will eat [his] dick on national television,” his US presidential campaign for the 2020 election, and his countless crypto shills over Twitter where he accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Therefore, it’s hard to take anything he says seriously. Still, it’s entertaining, and McAfee is adamant that his statements are true.

Regarding McAfee’s statement that Satoshi is alive and has no influence over Bitcoin, the crypto community bombarded McAfee with questions asking how he can have zero influence when he has access to 1 million BTC?

To this McAfee simply replied:

“It’s a long story. You’re going to love it.”

Should We Believe McAfee’s Claims?

Not only is McAfee notorious for the aforementioned reasons, but he’s also known for his dangerous and extralegal lifestyle, and is called by some a “cybersecurity legend.”

McAfee claims that his background with cybersecurity and knowledge of hacking is how he knows Satoshi’s identity.

In response to the tweet above, one Twitter user who’s been interacting with McAfee’s bold claims said if he reveals the identity of Satoshi, he will reward McAfee with 1 TRX.

McAfee boldly responded by stating that only an idiot would lie about knowing Satoshi, and that if anyone should know Satoshi’s identity it’s him.
