Ark’s Mobile Wallets Are Coming Soon

Over the last few weeks, Ark has been on a moderate but steady climb. The market has been going up as a whole and Ark seems to be pushed upwards because of this.

Another boost is very well possible, as we are closing in on another finished product from Ark: their mobile wallets. Ark already launched a desktop wallet, but once their Android and iOS wallets are available, the Ark fans amongst us can store Ark and interact with the Ark blockchain from our phones.

And these wallets will be downloadable any day now…

Ark is creating SmartBridges, which are basically gateways between different blockchains. With these SmartBridges, blockchains can interact with each other, and thus the use cases of each blockchain can be combined.

It’s not without reason that Ark aims to create the internet of blockchains. But to be able to do this and to simply store your Ark coins and interact with the Ark blockchain, you need a wallet.

Ark Desktop Wallet

The Ark blockchain employs a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) model. This basically means that the fee schedules and block intervals are democratically decided upon. And to make this democratic, a wallet is needed.

With the wallet, you can stake your Ark coins and vote for delegates. The wallet supports the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet and there is no need to download the entire blockchain because you can connect to your fully-synced peers. The Ark desktop wallet is smooth, fast and secure.

Besides being fully functional, Ark’s desktop wallet has been praised for its good aesthetics, excellent user experience and the possibility to upgrade the wallet with merely one-click.

Yes, it’s only a wallet, but the apparent time and effort the Ark team has put into creating and perfecting their wallet is yet another sign of their professionalism. The desktop wallet is also fully customizable, meaning that users can adjust the color schemes, font styles and size exactly to their liking. This has even led to a recent competition for the most beautifully customized wallet.

Ark Android and iOS Wallet

The Ark mobile wallets are expected to allow you to do the same as the desktop wallet. Thus, you can send and receive Ark coins, stake your coins and vote with your coins.

Ark’s aspirations are to lay the foundation for mass adoption by creating an ecosystem of connected blockchains. A mobile wallet for everyone is a solid step towards getting as many people as possible on a blockchain.

Since your wallet and the Ark cryptos it contains are stored on the Ark blockchain, you will be able to access the same wallet from both your computer and your mobile device. Both wallets are technically just a gateway to your Ark blockchain account.

It can’t be mentioned too often:  always safely store the seed phrase of your wallet.

Launching Any Day Now

With the development being at 98.5%, we can expect the mobile wallets to be released very soon. Even though they’re only wallets, it is a good sign of the continuous development of Ark. History tells us that updates like this can cause a short-term boost to the price of a cryptocurrency, although solid predictions can’t be made regarding this.

What’s sure is that Ark has been out of the spotlight over the last few weeks and an update like this can generate a lot of attention, from both seasoned investors as well as the thousands of new investors.

I personally can’t wait to store my Ark and access the Ark blockchain from my phone and I’ll be sure to download the soon-to-be-launched app. Another piece of the roadmap is almost completed!
