Corporations Will Come To Use Ethereum, Says Ernst & Young Head of Blockchain

Ethereum (ETH), the leading blockchain protocol famed for its decentralized applications (dapps), smart contract capabilities, and its potential to bring about the evolution of the next evolution of the internet, Web 3.0, is on everyone’s mind as of late and for good reason.

The latest tidbit of Ethereum news that’s getting everyone in the space excited is something that Paul Brody, the Head of Blockchain at Ernst & Young (EY), said at the Ethereal Summit 2019.

During a panel at the Ethereal Summit, he spoke about a number of bullish topics regarding Ethereum but what stuck out the most were these simple words:

“Corporations WILL come to use Ethereum mainnet.”

Ethereum Will Be the Leading Blockchain Protocol for Enterprises and Corporations

During the Ethereal Summit showcased in the video above, Ernst & Young’s Head of Blockchain revealed that EY’s protocol, dubbed “Nightfall,” which has been developed by over 200 blockchain developers over the past year, will be publicly published in May and free for everyone to use.

This development is truly massive for Ethereum, because the software is intended to run on top of the Ethereum network and will enable enterprise companies to use the Ethereum mainnet with private transactions on a shared ledger.

This privacy aspect is key for enterprises and corporations, as it allows them to benefit from all of the aspects of the public Ethereum blockchain while maintaining privacy. Now, corporations will come to use Ethereum’s mainnet.
